What happens when ordinary people step up to the microphone?
Something pretty extraordinary. I love bringing people together to tell true stories about the moments that make us laugh, surprise us, challenge us, and connect us. Sometimes I’m behind the microphone telling my own story. Sometimes I’m hosting and helping others tell theirs. Either way, there’s nothing quite like the energy of a room full of people listening, laughing, and recognizing a little bit of themselves in someone else’s story.

A Symposium on the Matter of Death
Please join me for an evening of meditation, poetry, and personal storytelling centered on the topic of death, loss, and what it means to live a meaningful life.
I’ve been invited by this local Buddhist group to share one of my stories about death, grief, and loss. Although I’m not Buddhist, I appreciate the opportunity to explore this universal human experience.
Reflecting on death is an important part of Buddhism, shaping how we think about our connections to those we’ve lost and how we choose to live our lives.
The evening will include a guided meditation on death, other personal stories of loss, poetry, and a social hour where we can continue the conversation over a cup of tea.
