What is the world coming to?  The iron in Monopoly has been replaced by the cat. Voted on by Facebookers on the popular board game’s page.

ABC News described the switch as “what some might call a ruthless abandonment of the old and others a democratic approach…”

Every day, most of us face decisions in our jobs about what to do with the old to create a newer, better hospital, product, process, learning tool, healthcare system. We’re constantly striving to get to the next level.

And granted, improving healthcare is not really like a game of Monopoly. Although one could argue that acquiring properties and making building improvements is a little like what is going on in the healthcare design industry today.

Like the iron being replaced by the cat, the big box hospital is being replaced by the clinic.

The difference is we didn’t all get to vote on it. But we kinda did (remember the election in November?).
